Chapter 56 by N1ghtshade

More lessons?

Hogsmeade.

Cassandra's classes intensified after the first week. The only reason she had any free time was her lack of social interaction. Since she didn't share any classes with Luna, and with the egos of Slytherin house, she kept getting driven into her studies. Hermione provided a worthy competitor, often trading places for the best in class. Cassandra was in the owlery, composing a letter. She didn't know what she would do for a chance to talk to them as Harry again.

Dear Hermione and Ron:

I'm truly sorry that I can't be back at Hogwarts with you. This is perhaps the most important mission of my life, I'm learning a lot about Voldemort and his followers. Perhaps we will have a way to defeat him soon?

Please continue the D.A. in my absence. And I hope Mcgonagall has found a replacement for me as Quidditch captain. I can't write anything more at this time, but I'll try to write you when the mission allows.

Sincerely, Harry.

P.S. I'm sending Hedwig to you. She can't stay here.

She called Hedwig out of her hiding place.

"Hey girl, I'm going to send you to live with Ron and Hermione." Hedwig tried to bite her finger. "I know, girl, but you're too distinctive. You need to stay with someone else until this is sorted out." Hedwig was still **** to take off but put her leg out to accept the letter.

"I want you to fly away, wait for a few days, they come to Ron and Hermione. Stay with them until I call you back, understand?" Hedwig stared at her, before taking off, circling a few times, **** to leave her side, before flying off.

Well, there is another reminder of my old life gone She thought. She rushed down the stairs, going to Ravenclaw tower. It was a Hogsmeade weekend, and she wanted a friend to enjoy it. She walked through the corridors, realizing she had know idea where the entrance to Ravenclaw tower was, since every house concealed theirs.

She turned a painting of an old Witch brewing a magenta liquid.

"I'm near the entrance of Ravenclaw tower, right? Have you seen Luna Lovegood?" She asked

"Luna left to find some items she was missing. She had some lists of them to put up." The painting responded.

"Thank you." Cassandra replied, turning to go to the public corridors.

She found Luna tacking a note to the wall near the Transfiguration Classroom.

"Hey Luna." Cassandra started.

"Oh, hey." Came the reply.

"You know, you could call them out."

"Oh, well they are just messing around." Luna defended.

"I'm not stupid, I've had my fair share of bullies, and these people fit right in." Cassandra pressed. "Anyway, I didn't come here to lecture you on it. I came here to get a companion for a lovely weekend in Hogsmeade."

"Oh, well that's nice" Luna responded.

They walked down the path to the little village, bustling with visiting students. Honeydukes sweets were more popular than every as students went for comforts. When the two explored Zonkos, they found it far less busy. Cassandra heard a third year asking if they stock Weasley products, much to the owner's chagrin. Apparently, Fred and George were annihilating their competition.

"I think that's enough shopping for now, is there a place to relax a while here?" Cassandra asked.

"We could go to the three broomsticks." Luna replied. "Madam Rosmerta is nice."

They entered the Wizarding Pub. Luna insisted that they sit with Ron and Hermione.

"Luna, what the hell are you doing with Malfoy's Lackey." Ron said rather aggressively, eyeing the green accents of her robes.

"Ron" Cassandra returned angrily. "Just because I'm a Slytherin, doesn't mean I worship purebloods like Crabby. Prejudice like that is undeserved." She hadn't meant to go off, but now that Ron's anti-Slytherin opinions were turned against her, she wouldn't put up with it. "And, as for why, I've been enjoying the day with her."

Ron was expecting the new Slytherin girl to simply scowl and walk away like the others. He wasn't expecting her to have befriended a DA member and pull a temper when she was associated with Malfoy's antics. Now it was his turn to scowl and pretend the Slytherin didn't exist. Hermione and Luna caught up, talking about studies and some old DA memories.

During their Butterbeers, Cassandra saw Malfoy enter, look around, then ask to talk to Madam Rosemerta in private. She got up and excused herself, pausing to grab her cloak of invisibility, then went to eavesdrop. She entered a back room of the three broomsticks.

"Ah, Mr. Malfoy, what did you need?" Rosemerta questioned.

"My Mother needed to replenish the liquor cabinet, could you get 4 cases of meade and 2 cases of Firewhiskey?" Draco said nervously.

"Ah, of course, just a minute"

As she turned to go to a stockroom, Rosemerta couldn't see Draco shakily raise his wand and mutter a single word.

"Imperio" A flash of yellow light flew across the room. Rosemerta paused. Draco looked to be seriously doubting what he had just done. Tears streaked down his face.

"Act like nothing happened here, act normal, and wait for further instruction." He stated.

Rosmerta turned back, now oblivious to what Draco had just done. "Is there something wrong Mr. Malfoy?"

"No" He cried. "Just get the cases please."

A panicked Cassandra rushed up to the Castle. She needed to tell someone. Draco just used an unforgiveable on Rosmerta

A/N: Sorry about the longer time for making this chapter. How do you like it?
