His hunger

"I'm interested," Owen admitted, "but if I could just have a minute to eat first ... "

The girl was very agreeable. "Sure thing." She sat down across from him and watched him eat.

"I'm Owen." It seemed the least he could do, trying to maintain the normality of introductions.

"I'm Roxi."

"So, Roxi ... you seem confident that I'm a guy."

"Yeah, well, you've got your cock sticking out of your pants."

She had him there. Tommi had gotten him so comfortable, playing around with him out in the open, that he had forgotten. "Oh," he said, and zipped up.

"You don't have to do that."

"Mom always said don't eat with your mouth open, and maybe life would be simpler if that went for my zipper too."

Roxi chuckled and looked around. "Yeah, well, just about every girl on campus knows you're a guy."

"Come on. How is that even possible?"

Roxi showed Owen her phone. Its screen was flashing "GUY!" and then "GUY ALERT!" and then "THERE'S A GUY ON OUR CAMPUS!"

"If I were you, I'd be expecting the news media pretty soon," Roxi teased.

"Sounds like a good time to hit the library and lay low," Owen joked.

"I don't think you understand. You've even got your own GuyPS, for Guy Positioning System. Every move you make is getting tracked. See?"

Owen was impressed. He was a blinking dot in a little schematic of the cafeteria.

"I don't understand all the technology of it," said Roxi. "The way I understand it, all of us are transmitters, giving off our own unique wave signature all the time, and your own individual wave signature is ... well ... really different, because you're a guy."

Owen looked around, and caught sight of various girls consulting their phones and then looking across at him, some grinning at him openly, some engaging each other in giggling conspiracies.

"That's why I came over here," Roxi said smoothly. "I'm tough. I figure you may need security. All I ask is that you bend me over this table and make me your bitch."

Owen took a big swig of milk. "Roxi ... you've got yourself a deal."
