Chapter 5
by Ultra Bra
What will be Michael's reward?
His contractual wager
"Might I direct you to the confines of my contract? I've got clear-cut wages going on up in this place."
"Ah, of course. Consider it done."
"Haha, HAHAHAA! Ah, you fuckin' dingus, you just transferred your powers to me!"
"...What?"
"I'm afraid you neglected to read my contract in its entirety, my dear Eva. I must admit this was a bit of a risk, relying on your carelessness. But it worked did it not? After all..."
Michael magically summons the folders in his hand.
"...The evidence was in front of you the entire time."
"I'm not following, sorry."
"The folders, my elementary friend! My previous boss almost outed my brilliant plan by pointing out that I couldn't have possibly come up with these intricate plans by myself in an instant. And I didn't! I created them just now, and sent them back in time."
"Hm. Well this was awfully stupid of me."
"Don't blame yourself, there was basically nothing to do. From the moment that you scribbled your name under than contract, I was already omnipotent. I just had to go through the ol' razzle dazzle to make the whole ringa-ding legit."
"Well I am just positively fed up with your obnoxious speech pattern. If you'll excuse me I'm going to jump out the window - this whole mortality thing is gnawing at my innards."
"Ah, go on ahead."
Michael folds the office wall in on itself, exposing a large open-air balcony for Eva. Content with her fate of being finally released from immortality, she feels a short jolt of pain for a single moment before permanent ****.
