His Left

AN: Sorry for the joke chapter. Here is an actual chapter to progress the story.

Touma carefully picked up the book with his left hand. He was about to open it, but then he had a thought. Maybe I shouldn't open this in public. Carrying it in his left hand, he walked into one of the alley ways for some privacy.

Once he was sure no one was watching him, he placed the book gently on the ground and opened it. Inside, he saw the rules page of the book, which described what this seemingly normal notebook was capable of. An ordinary person would brush it off as a fake or a joke, but Touma wasn't so sure. His previous encounters with magic made it clear that supernatural powers like this could exist.

"I could be sure it is magic by touching it with my right hand," he said out loud. "But that would destroy it entirely."

He was able to try to write something in it to test it out, when he had another idea. He carefully torn a small piece off one of the pages of the book and placed it on the ground. Reaching out with is right hand, Touma touched the piece with one of his fingers. The instant it made contact, the piece of paper disintegrated.

"So it is a magical item," Touma said quietly as he thought of how he should test out the notebook.

AN: Let me know who you think Touma should try the notebook out on. I'm thinking of it being Misaka Mikoto, but I am open to suggestions.
