His Boss and Coworkers

John worked an internship at an all-female company. Normally the boss, a woman named Mona, would only hire women, but due to her having been friends with his stepmother in college, she hired him mostly as a favor. All but one of the employees hated him, so he couldn't wait to take over the company.

He entered the building and was greeted by the only employee who didn't hate him, Cassidy the receptionist. She was as new as he was, so she had no real reason to be snobby or bitchy to him.

"Morning, John," she said. "Isn't today your day off?"

"Yes, but I was going to take over the company and usurp Mona, and I want you to help."

"Oh, okay," said Cassidy. "What do you need me to do?"

"SImple," John said. "Just agree, right here, right now, to become my loyal, devoted girlfriend and second-in-command, and we'll take Mona down together."
