Hinata chose someone older
Hinata always admired and idolized many of the adult figures in her life, growing up over the years. She dreamed and aspired to be just like them. Some of these consisted of her sensei, Kurenai Yuhi; the Special Jonin and best friend to her sensei, Anko Mitarashi; and of course the first female Hokage, Tsunade Senju. Hinata knew there were other important people as well, but those were the first few that came to mind.
