High School Daze (Second Option)

Prominent among them were that he wished he had this power in high school. Back when Karyn came back, approximately six months ago, that would have been the best time. He liked College, but still, it would have been nice to have this power a few months ago...

Suddenly everything went black.....

-buzz- -buzz- -buzz-

John's eyes opened to the buzzing of his alarm clock. He was lying on his old bed, in his old bedroom. Everything was exactly as it had been a full months back before he had left for college.

-buzz- -buzz- -buzz-

"John, shut off your alarm!" came a yell from outside of the room. It was the voice of his sister Zoe.

With a slam of his hand, the alarm shut down. "Sorry Zo!" John shot back. He looked at the alarm clock and noted it was 7am on Wednesday, May 14, 2008. "What the hell?" John muttered recognizing that it was exactly six months prior to the date it should be. He was still a Senior in High School. In fact, he knew this day well as it was the day his friend Karyn would be coming back to school after being away for half a year as a result of her dad's temporary work reassignment.

It took another few moments for John to clear his mind.

"John, get out of bed or you'll be late!" This time it was his mother's voice.

Had it been all a dream? Had he dreamt his graduation from High School and starting at University? And what about gaining the power? Was any of it real?
