Hide and Seek

We all seemed to agree on hide and seek so, with Marie counting, headed off naked into the forest behind us. When I’d got off the coach at the top of the hill I had walked right to the edge of the small hill we had parked on, and seen an aerial view of the forest we were now in, so knew that if I headed 70 metres or so down a path then branched left I would come across a small river, beside which I would be able to hide and if I got bored I could go for a swim.
Halfway down the path I began to get the feeling I was being followed, but continued on until I reached the pool and jumped in, the usually warm water cooling as the sun disappeared. I surfaced and out of the corner of my eye saw a figure walking towards me. Thinking it was Marie and that I had been found I began to walk back, but suddenly realised that it was Lilliana.
