I charge in the barn the smoke burn's my eyes and I start coughing I make it to the sheep pen first which was probably for the best don't want any of them to catch on fire. Once the pen is open I direct them to the exit once outside I take a big breath and go back in. This time it's the pigs turn they where pretty hard to direct but I didn't have vary many animals left I get the pigs outside and Athena and Wendy are waiting for me.

"Peter do not go back in there the fire department is on the way" Wendy says panicked to see me coughing

"She's right Kyle we may lose the animals and that'll break mine and my parents hearts but it's not worth your life" Athena says grabbing my shoulder.

I know that they're right but I know I can save all the animals I know it in my heart that I can save every last one of them. I don't look at either of the girls and I charge right back in there. I make it to the cow pen next releasing there hatch they bolt to the exit immediately one of them stomps on my foot on the way out it must be broken but between the smoke inhalation my burning eyes and how damn hot it is in here I just don't notice as much as I would've otherwise. I don't follow the cows out and instead go straight to the horses I open up there pen and it's the same deal they run outside immediately clipping me on the process luckily I wasn't trampled but now I'm on the ground and just like that grandma in those old commercials I can't get up. I try crawling to the exit but the barn starts to collapse. I don't know what made me pass out but when I woke up again I was in the hospital a cast was on my leg and I had an IV in me there was also a tube down my throat but that got remedied as soon as I was breathing on my own.

A doctor came in and told me exactly what was going on he told me I had choked out from smoke inhalation that my foot was broken that there was severe burn's on my back and neck and that I was lucky to be alive. I gave him my insurance information and he left. I'm told my parents where called but all they said was "Wow finally managed to not be a pussy huh"

It took a good month and many visits from Wendy Jakomo Luna Bob Athena and her parents but eventually everything was settled and I was released.

Athena's parents where very grateful for what I'd done apparently the sale of their animals didn't go so smoothly and they would never have financially recovered from that fire if the animals died. They paid my hospital bills and told me that if I ever needed anything a place to stay a meal even a place to hide that they would provide. "Your like a son to me Kyle and from this point on I'll treat you like one of my own" those where his words never in my life had I been so happy to have done something so stupid.
