Her room

Even with the fairly basic instructions, it still took the better part of fifteen minutes for Kimberly to find her room. The house was simply massive, and it wasn't exactly intuitively laid out. It took her five minutes alone just to find the stairs, that is to say, 'one' of the stairs, as there were numerous staircases through the house.

Even when she reached the second floor, there were dozens of rooms, and seemingly endless hallways, but eventually she found one in particular that had a letter taped to its front. Kim pulled the letter down, even the envelop itself was fancy, made with high quality paper and sealed with wax.

She opened the door and stepped into the room that would be her’s for the next few years. Kim was expecting something large but ultimately normal. But even this room, which was by all definition a guest room, was the size of most master bedrooms.

Kim took off her jacket and flopped onto the king size bed in the room’s center. She was starting to think that living here would actually be a great opportunity for her. After all, this room was larger than most apartments she had ever lived in, much less the rooms on their own.

Kim decided that maybe she should read the letter now rather than later. She didn’t want to do anything to slip up just because she hadn’t read the instructions they left for her.
