Gazing down, Chihiro just barely avoided letting out a gasp as she saw her own bare thigh. Her makeshift skirt should have been covering that up! Trying her best to remain inconspicuous, Chihiro carefully ran a hand across her exposed leg, trying to figure out what went wrong. The problem became obvious as Chihiro felt where her blouse's buttons should have been fastened. They should have been, but instead were completely free of the buttonholes, leaving the blouse to fall open.
Nooo! Why does this keep happening!? Chihiro wailed internally. Clearly her blouse had objected to being used in such an unorthodox fashion. Being around her hips, rather than her torso, must have been too different and put undue strain on the buttons, and they simply couldn't hold together. This was somewhat understandable, but not at all appreciated by Chihiro, who was far more concerned with the fact that her lower half was about to become exposed all over again!
While Chihiro wanted to get to work trying to keep her blouse together across her waist, she also didn't want to abandon the quiz. Yes, this was embarrassing, but there was also the issue of her grades. The last thing Chihiro needed was for her scores to slip because she left a quiz half finished. Still, it could very easily be argued that her current predicament far outweighed academic issues. There was also the fact that messing with her skirt might draw attention to herself. As the only one in the room not focused on the paper in front of her, Chihiro's actions would probably stand out, get the teacher curious, and then things could get even worse...
Chihiro had to make a choice. Let her skirt continue to fall and finish the quiz, or forget about the quiz, work on her skirt, and risk drawing the teacher's attention?
