Her Brother

Courtney stood in her robe covered bikini picking up her suntan lotion when the knock sounded off, "Come in." She said straitening up.

The door open to reveal her brother Charlie. He was already dressed in a pair of shorts and a black t shirt. His blond hair was slicked back from a shower, "Hey sis, Happy Birthday!" He said with a wide grin.

Courtney found herself smiling broadly, "Thank you bro!"

Charlie raised and eyebrow, "Going out for some sun I see. You've been going all out the last six months. Who's the guy?"

Courtney's cheeks flushed brightly, "What do you mean?"

Her brother shrugged, "You've always been a floater, sis. You always just let things happen as they happen. Now it seems like you are actively trying to influence a reaction in someone. I just want to know so that if he hurts you I can beat his ass to kingdom come."

"You football players! So violent!" Courtney exclaimed, in mock anger. In actuality she was rather pleased at the response. "Besides I'm supposed to be taking care of you. I am the older sister, after all."

"True, and if I get with a girl that hurts me I expect you to beat her ass to kingdom come as well." Charlie said, his grin growing wider still.

Courtney giggled, "Count on it, bro. It is my job to look after you."

"And it's mine and Jeremy's to look after you, huh?"

"J-Jeremy?" Courtney asked, shocked.

"Ah-ha. I knew it. You like him. Love him in fact. Which isn't fair you know."

Courtney's face fell, thinking he didn't approve. "Why?" she asked in a small voice.

"Oh, hey. He's a great guy. Protects me on the field as if he were my own brother. It's not fair because he wouldn't hurt you. And, if he did inadvertently, well, he's bigger than even me."

Courtney nodded, her body flooding with relief. She looked at her younger brother, "He wouldnt'. Would...could you...I mean."

"You want me to hook the two of you up? As in officially?"

"Yeah...wait...'officially'?"

"Everybody knows you like him. Everybody. Most though think it's only a crush. I just happen to know you a wee bit better than most. And I'd love to have a hand in getting the two of you together and happy. You both deserve it."

Courtney smiled, "How did I get such a great brother?"

"By being a great sister. I'll call Jeremy and tell him to come on over. Then I'll call Pam and tell her to come over. Moral support. We'll tell him it's a pre party party."

"Sounds good."
