Okay, maybe you're not the world's greatest provider, the world's greatest lover, the world's greatest anything (except programmer. You're pretty sure you're the world's greatest programmer). That doesn't mean you're going to lick some asshole's asshole and hope he'll give you your job back.

He giggles. "Nah, I've got your wife for that."
You head for the closet, grab your duffle bag, stuff a couple of pair of jeans, underwear and t-shirts in it, then pick up your laptop and head out.
