Heading back to America to regroup

You wake up later, Zatanna stretching and moving your arms from around her. You lean away and stretch, estimating that it is a couple of hours later based on the angle of the sun. The sleep was surprisingly refreshing, but maybe that was just having a beautiful seductress in your arms.

"Hey. You know what time it is?" you say as you swing your legs off the bed to search for your clothes.

"Time to head back to the states. They'll be expecting the two of us by now, and you don't want to go AWOL the day you join the Justice League." You take another glance at her, savoring her body while you still can. You pause, and think that rather than just looking, you'll really savor her. You walk up to her as she's gathering up her clothes, pulling her into a kiss.

"We're doing this again. As soon as possible."

"Of course. I'll drop you off at your living space then head up to Watchtower. I'll contact you by magic once I've available. Where do you live, anyway?" Zatanna pulls back and starts the arduous process of putting on her fishnets.

"A small apartment in New York City. Real tough to get back on your feet when you have a no identity and no credit score."

"You should be fine once you get your new identity from the League. Needless to say, you won't have to worry about your credit score anymore. Batman will come by and give you the specifics, and don't worry, he'll find you. We also have a stipend for new heroes starting out, just to help you get on your feet. It would look really bad if our superheroes ended up homeless, so don't worry about that."

"Sounds good. Do you think I should stay in New York City for my zone?"

"Not sure. We really don't have a lot of heroes stationed there, and for the most part villains tend to stick to places like Gotham, Metropolis, or Central City. But whatever you choose, just know that I'm an incantation away."

"That sounds wonderful."

At this point the two of your are dressed, and Zatanna leaves a sizable tip on the dresser for the unfortunate maid who had to clean up the mess of your sex. You mentioned your address to Zatanna, and she enunciates,

"Gnirb su ot S'leahcim tnemtrapa!"

The spinning returns, and a few seconds later the two of you are at your studio apartment in a rough part of town. Unfortunately, it's a mess, with your only wall space dedicated to tracking local gang activity. You turn to apologize to Zatanna for the mess, but she's quizzically looking at her hands."

"What happened? Something go wrong?"

"No, the opposite actually. That spell was surprisingly easy to cast."

"Wait, that's good, right?"

"It would be if I knew why it was it was so easy." She turns to you, "I don't like knowing why magic doesn't do what I expect." She frowns and looks away, "Especially my own."

For the first time since arriving Zatanna looks around, taking in the messy apartment. She teases, "Weren't expecting company, were you?"

"Can't say I was. Not even in my wildest imagination did I see bringing a superheroine home after my trial mission."

"Well, I can help with that. Nealc siht moor!"

As her spell is cast, everything starts to rearrange itself, the late night takeout containers collapsing on themselves and the carpet being cleaned as if being vacuumed.

"Thanks." you say, glad that Zatanna was kind enough to clean up for you.

"But anyway, it is good to see you off and I wish you the best of luck on your next missions."

"Good bye." Zatanna casts another sports, and disappears in a poof.

You're now alone, back where you were 24 hours ago, but now you're a member of the Justice League.
