Head upstairs to the resource lab

You go upstairs to the resource lab. Donna is sitting at table in the center of the room, her head bent down buried in a text book, and scribbling away in her note book. Her face is slightly obscured by the skullcap she’s wearing. She looks up when you come in.

“Oh, hi,” she says unenthusiastically, “Damn it,” she mumbles to herself.

“Everything ok?” you guess is what you’re supposed to say.

“Sorry, no, its just that if I don’t pass math this semester, there is no way I’m going to graduate on time.” She says without looking up, and continues to scratch notes in her notebook.

You might as well earn your pay check, “Can I help you?” You ask walking over to her. She nods and motions you to come over. It’s at this point you notice that Donna is sitting on what appears to be to only chair in the room.

“Oh, I’m sorry, they’re getting new chairs in tomorrow,” she thinks for a second, “Here why don’t you sit down and I’ll sit on your lap.”
