Head to your department head's office. Maybe she has some good advice

You leave the lecture hall as fast as you can, trying to avoid Sara's gaze. And as the door slams behind you, you hear them start cackling in the classroom.

Doing your best to put that behind you, physically and emotionally, you walk straight to your department head's office. She's always been helpful before, and she has a great reputation for being no-nonsense. She'll definitely know how to deal with these girls disrupting class.

"Hi Jessica, is the boss in?" you ask as you round the corner. Always bubbly Jessica laughs, and says, "Of course! She's been expecting you!"

That's surprising, and you blanch a little bit to hear it. But you shake it off before walking in. You haven't done anything wrong, so she must have some departmental news to talk to you about.

You start talking as soon as you walk into the office. "Mrs. Nguyen! I've been--" But Mrs. Nguyen cuts you off.

"Close the door, Jason, and have a seat. There's something we need to discuss."
