Head over to the house

You need to think rationally right now and, as much as you want to sit around and cry all day, you need to figure out where to go from here. If Ross is right, the confrontation with his father will go poorly and the two of you won't be able to stay here. You don't even have to think twice about letting Ross stay with you. After all he's done for you, it's the least you can do.

The best option for the two of you would be to go stay at your house. It might not be the best place for you mentally, but it's already paid off and in your name. The two of you would still have to pay bills of course, but no one can take it away from you. It may not be the best place for you to be, surrounded by memories of your father, but you can't imagine being anywhere else right now. Selling it is out of the question and you can't afford to keep this place and rent elsewhere. The house is the best shot.

You head over while Ross is at class. Everything is as you left it the other day. At first, you simply drift through the rooms, tears falling as you remember all of the good times with your father. You notice that everything is perfectly clean, no doubt the work of your father. Silently, you thank him for that. One less thing to worry about.

The last room you check is your own. You briefly thought about going into your father's, but you simply can't bring yourself to do it. It still feels off limits, despite knowing it doesn't matter anymore.

Your room is just how you left it. Your bed is a mess and clothes are everywhere from your inability to choose the best outfit for your date. The only thing out of place is a small box on your desk. You immediately recognize it as your mother's things. Part of you wants to open it, but you decide not to. You don't want to open that can of worms on top of everything else.

Silently, you begin the put the house back in order. At least it will keep you distracted for now.
