Head back to your dorm.

Deciding that you need to regroup and gather your thoughts, you head back to your dorm room. It's bizarre - all the way back to your dorm, everything you pass just looks like a normal college campus. To think of what's going on behind the facade...

When you get back into your dorm room, you find {if Terence Helpful = True}Terence already there. He gives you a nod and a little smile as you walk in. Though he's almost aggressively bland in his dress (he's wearing a plain navy sweater over khakis, of all things, and it's really too hot to be wearing a sweater) he's clearly fit and meets your gaze seriously. He stands up from where he was perched, at the edge of his desk, and comes over to shake your hand. "You must be Luke. I'm Terence. Terence Hill," he says.

You shake, a little weirded out by the formality. "Nice to meet you," you say. "And this is...?" You gesture to the bashful-looking, petite brunette girl seated in his desk chair.

{endif}"Ah, this is Lacey. My uh...well, my maidservant," he says, {if Terence Helpful = False}dropping his eyes with a bit of fear.{else}blushing slightly.{endif} You study the girl: she's wearing a tight cardigan over a camisole, which does a good job of showing off her curves while still being "modest." You smile at her and give her a nod, and she returns your smile crookedly. She's also, you notice, wearing a simple gold cross on a plain, black leather thong.

"Nice to meet you," you say.

"You too," Lacey says, sounding a little breathless. "You uh...you don't have your maid with you?"

"No, she wanted to do her own thing," you say with a shrug. You sit down on the edge of your desk, so you're facing both of them. "You wanted to keep yours on a short leash, huh Terence?"

"Haha! Haha!" Terence laughs, awkwardly and a more than a little too loud. Clearly, he's not used to this at all - and had no idea it was coming. "He's...he's joking," he says seriously to Lacey. "You can go anywhere you want, of course. I mean, let me know, I guess? I want to do my job. But you know you can go somewhere if you want!"

"I'm, uh, I'm ok," Lacey says, blushing slightly.

This would almost be cute if it weren't so slightly pathetic.

In the awkward second or two of silence that follows, Terence's phone suddenly starts ringing. It is, you are amused to note, a phone-jingle version of "What a Friend We Have in Jesus." Terence pulls his phone out and glances at the screen, then clears his throat.

"It's, uh...it's my mother." He says. He glances between the two of you. "I'd...rather speak in private. Do you...?"

Lacey nods, and you just shrug. Terence quickly heads out of your room, answering the call as he does so. "Hello, Mother? Yes, I'm doing well..."

With Terence gone, you and Lacey are left alone with one another, the door to your room standing open. You give her a little nod, and she blushes slightly and gives you a smile before looking out the window. She is, you have to admit, very pretty. Something about this girl's timidity is charming, though of course, she's your roommate's maidservant...
