He tries summoning Jesse Turner

Sam got the prep needed by the time he returned to the bunker. He brought home; a clear crystal ball, a large jar of concoction that consisted of holy oil, phoenix ashes, powdered raven bones, and a single rib, which Rowena luckily already had kept in a rune-scribbled box. One final component was a picture of himself, it's almost like a typical demon summoning. Almost, except with different ingredients. Rowena's note says unlike a common demon, the antichrist may or may not arrive or even respond out of his own free will, cambions are not subject to the jurisdiction of Hell.

"Here goes nothing." Sam said before pouring the jar's content into a special ritual bowl, then with the rib in hand, started mixing up the ashes and raven bone powder within the holy oil. Next he strikes a match and lights it up the bowl of oil. Afterwards, he tossed his printed photo into the flames, and finally held up a clear crystal ball just over the tip of the flame.

With magic, the crystal ball lit up, it went from clear to being filled with light and color shifting smoke. He knew what to do next. "Jesse Turner." he spoke up, "If you can hear me. I need your help. It's Sam Winchester, do you remember me?" an audible response should come from the colorful crystal ball, but nothing came up. "Jesse!" Sam waited long, but before he knew it, the flames in the bowl went out, and the crystal ball went clear again. The contact broke. Sam sighed and threw the ball to the floor, but since it was made of actual crystal, it did not break. Same went to the bathroom to take a hot shower.
