He takes a walk on the street.

“I’m going for a walk.” You tell Emely. “Want to come along?”

“No.” She tells you. “I need to figure out what clothes to throw out and what to give away.”

“Okay. See you later.” And you walk out of the house you rent together.

You notice the lawn need work and make a mental note to get it cut for free instead of doing it yourself anymore . You even have an inkling of an idea, but you need to consult Emely first.

Walking through the neighborhood, you see Mrs. Haverson, a notorious gossip. She is a divorcee in her early 40’s and has two daughters. Nobody in the neighborhood likes her.

You walk up to her while she is weeding her garden.

“Hello Mrs. Haverson. How are you doing today.” You politely ask.

She responds with one of those fake smiles that never reaches her eyes. “I am fine Mr. Jacobs. Just doing some gardening.”

“Oh, Mrs. Haverson, I have a deal to offer you.” You say.

“Yes?” She replies carefully.

You put on a smile as you offer the deal/ultimatum. “Yes. If you never speak again, you may keep wearing clothes. But if you speak even a single word, you will have to stay naked for the next 24 hours from the moment you stop speaking.” You then walk away down the sidewalk.

You don’t notice how her mouth acts like a fish out of water.
