He is here for one obvious reason

"Jake. Obviously you know why I'm here." he said with a serious expression. Then, Sarah walked into the room. Apparently, she had been eavesdropping and she looks mad. Sarah got up in Robert's face.

"CAN YOU LEAVE MY BOYFRIEND ALONE!? ALL YOU HAVE DONE IS CREATE MISERY FOR US AND NOT TO MENTION, YOU'RE TRYING TO TAKE JAKE AWAY FROM ME!" she screamed. "FUCK. CAN YOU JUST FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO WORK FOR YOU!" She then broke down into tears and ran to my room.

Everyone was quiet for a minute and I was truly shocked. I heard Sarah bawling in my room and I decided to try and comfort her. Everyone watched me in silence as I walked upstairs. I stepped into my bedroom and saw a shaking Sarah curled in the corner of the room. I didn't know what to say so I sat down next to her and wrapped my arms around her.

"I'm sorry..." Sarah faintly whispered. "I just fucked up your dream job."

"It's fine. Now I know how strongly you feel about me staying." I replied with tears starting to form at the corner of my eyes.

"Of course I want you to stay. I love you with all my heart. I just can't stand the idea of you being gone and traveling to the other side of the country." she continued.

I gently cupped her face and stared into her green eyes. I pulled her down for a passionate kiss that left us panting for air. " I love you too." I answered back. "Stay here and let me talk to the guy, okay?"

Sarah nodded and I left the room, gently closing the door. I went downstairs and saw my parents talking to Robert. He heard my footsteps and turned towards me.
