Having a nice long relaxing bath

"...just having a bath right now. Lots of suds and everything. I can hear her right now. She's having a great time."

"Ah, well I hope I you aren't dropping in to see her just because of me?"

"What?"

"Oh you know," he says with a laugh, "That you're not there to comfort her about the scary neighbour looking over her wall."

It takes you a moment to process what he's talking about. He seems to still think your "cousin" is the owner of this house, that you're just visiting her. "No, no nothing like that," you splutter.

"Oh good to hear. I figured since I think I saw you move her boxes in. That's good of you. Were you close growing up?"

"I... yes, we visited eachother a lot...." Damn, you had to steer this back to what you wanted to say...

"What's her name by the way?"

"I... oh it's...." you stumble, "Jane."

"John and Jane?"

"Yeah we um, we had that joke growing up, but we were cousins you know, so it wasn't that often."

"I knew a Jane once, one of the nicest people I ever met."

"Oh, really..."

"Yeah, went scuba diving with her once, you ever been? Or Jane?"

"Erm, no...."

"Well, I'll leave you to it, give my regards to Jane, glad she understands, and wish her the best from me in her new house."

"Wait, actually that's the thing...."

"Sorry?"
