Have a few drinks outside.

While you are tired the idea of sleeping in a hot house isn't appealing. Kim points along the porch and says “Just keep going till you get to the barbeque. I'll get us some drinks and nibblies.”

You head around the house till you get to the opposite side of the house. The is a large barbeque and a bunch of outdoor furniture. You look out and can see the city skyline off in the distance surrounded by the suburbs. Absorbed by the view you don't hear Kim walking up behind you until you feel something cold tap your arm. Suppressing a jump you look over to see Kim holding an open beer bottle for you to take. Accepting it you take a sip and grimace at the taste. You have never drunk beer before and this Carlton draught is a bit bitter for your taste. Not wanting to upset Kim you keep drinking and have a few of the nuts out of the bowl she puts next to you. You enjoy the cooling evening air and companionable silence, even the beer starts to grow on you.

The beer starts to have a relaxing effect on you and you start to feel like you are disconnected from your body, just floating around. The beer seems to be bringing on your jet lag in a bad way and you start yawning and thinking longingly about bed. Kim looks over and sees you vacant expression and seems to put two and two together. “Looks like you’re ready to drop. We better get you off to bed.”

Kim leads you into the slightly cooler house and shows you to your room. You walk into your new room. It's small and dark, with only one window that that looks out to the car port. Expecting to see the furniture you ordered online a few weeks ago you instead see some flat pack boxes and a half assembled single bed. “Sorry” Kim says “The stuff only got delivered yesterday afternoon and we haven't had a chance to get it all put together.”

The idea of assembling a bed in your current state is too much for you to handle, so you say you will just sleep on the couch. “Don't be silly.” Kim admonishes “You can sleep in my bed with me. There's lots of space.”

Kim leads you into a large bedroom with a king sized bed right in the middle. Kim crosses the room to the floor to ceiling windows and closes the blockout curtains. Feeling this tired you can't even be bothered trying to find the pyjamas you bought today. Pulling your dress over your head and exposing your completely naked body to your new sister for the second time today you slide in between the sheets and drop off to sleep as your head hits the pillow.
