Your brother opens the curtains and looks over to you. He seems a bit worried. But obviously not enough to get out of his bed. He shrugged and closed the curtains. The lights go out and you sigh. You get an umbrella out of the glove compartment and make your way through the mud, to see if a tree caught on fire.

It's cold an you wonder if you'd be able to find where the lightning hit. You begin to hear strange sounds.

You suddenly see some lights come from between a few trees in front of you. You head towards it. You enter a clearing. Some people are walking around a burned area in the middle. You decide to head towards them. The closer you get the clearer the sounds get. They are talking to each other in a language you don't understand. But it still sounds human.

"Heeey! What happened here?" you shout towards them.

They turn to you in a sudden movement. They may look humanoid but clearly aren't humans.

The start talking to you. You don't understand and try to make that clear without panicking. Then they suddenly start to speak in another language. You are freaking out. But, to your surprise, they seem to try to calm you down. They switch language again. Now they speak Spanish. You have an idea. You get your phone out while holding a hand up, signaling them to wait. They seem to get your signal and wait. You open a translator and signal them to speak.

Your app doesn't recognize all the words but it seems like they are greeting you.

You make your app say "Hello, who are you? Where are you from?"

They understand and answer.

"We are from another planet. We came here once every earth century. We would like to exchange knowledge. Would you come with us?"

You think about it. Your a scientist. Your mother was a scientist. Your father is a scientist. Knowledge has always been important to your family. Without thinking about it longer you agree.

The humanoids seem to be happy. Then they grab your hand and bring you to the center of the burned area.

You feel a little tingling while you disappear from your home planet.
