Chapter 166 by bobbobbobthethir

Who is it?

Hana, the raven-haired Zeta doll

“It’s got to be one of the Zeta girls,” Val says.

“How’d you know?” you ask, startled that she made the read.

“They’re the crème de la crème. Who could resist?” she laughs with a mocking flip of her hair.

“Sooo…?” Mars asks, peering down at the sorority sisters. “Who is it?”

{if Avril > 0} “Hana,” you say, pointing at the raven-haired doll. {else} “That raven-haired doll over there,” you say, pointing at the girl who’s caught your eye.

“Ah, Hana,” Val nods knowingly. {endif}

“I hear she’s a testy one,” Mars says, glancing at Val. “She’s not going to be an easy one to crack…”

“Don’t you worry, Alex, we’ll come up with something,” Val grins.

She leans over and whispers into Mars’ ear and the two girls giggle, talking in hushed tones. You watch them, bemused, wondering what they’ll come up with.

The first half of the game sees Stonewall smashing Schmarvard’s team into the ground. The home team’s leading 35-20. Mars taps you on the shoulder as the teams come off the court and whispers something into your ear.

“You think that’ll work?” you ask, glancing at the girls skeptically.

“It’s about giving the girl an excuse to say yes,” Val smiles. “It’ll work if you have any chance with her. Now go get her, tiger.” She makes a purring noise and takes another swig of her beer, waving for you to go.

You make your way to the bottom of the stadium with Valentine in tow, while Mars heads the other way, towards the stadium’s control room. A minute later, you find yourself before the Zeta girls.

Gina, your older sister, spotted you coming from a mile away. She somehow always knows where you are. And somehow, she sees the way that you’re eyeing up Hana, because the two women immediately exchange a look and form similarly sharp smiles on their faces. Hana’s got a strapless red dress on, a simple design that brings out her ass as she’s perched on the edge of her seat, watching you approach. She tosses her dark hair back and winks at you, squeezing her cleavage together as you and Val come to a stop before her.

“Here to introduce your girlfriend to the big sister?” Hana asks, looking between you and Val. “Because hey, Gina, seems like you could stand to learn a thing or two from this lady.”

“If she’s dating my brother, she needs better taste in men,” Gina says, throwing Valentine a quick look. “But something tells me Alex is here for something considerably more interesting than that.”

“Oh, is that right, Alex? You’ve got something interesting for us?” Hana asks. “Because Gina can be wrong about an awful many things.”

“She’s right on this count,” you say begrudgingly. “My friend Valentine bet me fifty bucks that I wouldn't be able to make out with the hottest girl here. So… how should we spend the money?”

Hana lifts her eyebrow as you speak, but a couple seconds after you finish, she remains silent. Did she hear you correctly? Gina shoots her a look that says why aren’t you answering? Are you brain-addled?

“Well, aren’t you going to answer him?” Hana asks, returning Gina’s look with one of her own.

“What, because I’m the hottest girl here?” Gina laughs. She shakes her head. “Nice try, for it’s true, but I’m not making out with my brother.”

“Oh come on, don’t tell me you’re not tempted by the money,” Hana says. “Come on, he’s not a bad looking guy…”

“If he weren’t my brother, I would ask him what birth defect he carries,” Gina says. “But look how I came out. It’s not in the genes, he just chooses to be ugly.”

“Yeah, I’m going to call bullshit on that,” you say, crossing your arms. “You’re allowed to say your brother’s hot without it being weird. It’s only weird because you’re making it weird.”

You wink at Val, who nods enthusiastically. It’s nice to have friends that you can crib lines from.

“Oh, you hear that? Sounds like Gina’s only making a big deal out of this because she’s got something to hide,” Hana says, projecting her voice for those around her to here. “Has she secretly got the hots for her little brother?”

Your sister refuses to rise to the bait. She simply says: “Alex’s question was directed at you, Hana. Are you going to make out with him or not?”

“Obviously,” Hana laughs. “Because then you’ll see how good of a kisser he is. You’ll see how wet he gets me. And then you’ll think to yourself, what if that were me there…”

Hana gives you the come hither gesture, the smile on her face one of pure wickedness. Behind her, a series of ooos and aaaahs erupt from the ladies behind her. Your eyes flick to the jumbotron hanging above the stadium. It’s the kiss cam, zooming in on you and Hana.

“Let’s do this,” you smile, pulling Hana out of her seat.

She leaps into your arms and the two of your lock lips. As soon as your lips connect, it’s like an electric current runs through her. She lifts up on her heels. Her exaggerated sighs, the way she flicks her curls back and plants a hand on your chest, the way she leans into you, her lips kissing yours so ferociously… all of it seems larger than life, there’s no way you’re that good of a kisser, until you realise that she’s doing it for the benefit of the audience. An audience, you realise, that it larger than just Gina and Val: the whole stadium must be watching Hana melt in your arms!

Hana gasps for air half a minute later, your lips feeling well worn and a shade redder from her lipstick. She leans in again and gives you a satisfied peck on the neck, planting a set of red lips there as well, and she turns to Gina.

“See? Told you he was a good kisser,” she says.

“You’re not fooling anyone,” Gina says.

“I thought she did pretty well,” Val interjects.

“So did I,” you agree, brushing your lips with your finger.

Your sister scowls.

“She’s just putting up a front for you to try to get to me. She isn’t actually interested in you,” she says.

“Nah, no chance of that. And I’ll prove it to you,” Hana says. She flicks her hair again and says: “Pass me your phone, Alex. I’m giving you my number.”

And just like that, you get the Zeta girl’s number.

“You just wanted the money,” Gina laughs, her icy gaze showing no trace of humor. “But the two of you can keep playing pretend. It’s almost cute.”

“Keep the cash, Alex,” Hana winks at you.

The game closes out as you expect. Stonewall wins with a twenty point lead. You, Mars, and Val head back out to the tailgate after-party to celebrate and get sloshed on cheap beer. You notice most of the Zeta girls leaving with a group of the guys on the basketball team, but Gina and Hana aren’t among them. Where could they be?

So. Was that just an act? Or are you actually down to hang? you text her.

Maybe someday, Hana texts back. I’ve got plans tonight. So go find your own fun. I’m sure a guy like you has options.

Val, peeking at your phone over your shoulder, laughs aloud.

“See? This is the work of the wonderful wing-girl in action,” she smiles, clinking her bottle against yours. “That’s practically a date lined up.”

“Got to thank Mars too, for getting me that kiss cam,” you say, raising your bottle to hers.

“From the way you tell it, it sounds like I didn’t even have to go to all that effort,” Mars replies. “But cheers anyways!”

The three of you match bottles. You down the rest of your drink, closing the night in good company.

Hana +25
Gina +5
Mars +10
Valentine +10
