Grim Discovery

At nightfall Kate arrived at the store with only a gun and an agent's starter kit, consisting of a lock pick, night vision shades and a walkie-talkie for communication or extraction.

Kate made sure the coast was clear before entering. After a brief minute, she picked the lock of the front door and entered. Inside, Kate could smell the fabric softener wafting through the air, almost at an intoxicating level. Donning the night vision shades and activating them, Kate was able to see perfectly in the dark.

She saw nothing out of the ordinary, just a regular store that... She stops, noticing a storage room door ajar in the back of the store. Opening the door, Kate discovers a staircase leading down. Going down the flight of stairs, Kate spots a discarded sock lying on the last stair. Picking it up and examining it, Kate hears a voice following a flash of overly bright light.

"What do we have here? Another naughty little girl."

With that, Kate feels herself getting grabbed all over. Struggling to get free, her night vision shades fall from her face ending the blinding light revealing a short woman pointing a flashlight slightly up at her. No, she wasn't short. Kate began to realize that she was several feet off the ground being held up by some mechanical arms!
