Stay or flee?
Gotta GO!
Realizing he's been tipped off to your game, you panic, immediately looking for an exit.
"Sorry... sorry!" You exclaim quickly. You notice the elevator is on the other side of him, past the ladder, and motion toward it frantically. "I'll... I'll take the stairs!" You insist, before turning tale and positively running up the two flights of stairs, barely held back by your two bags of belongings.
Walking down the left side of the hallway, you eagerly approached apartment 223. Reaching to the side of the door, you pulled the keys out of the drop box and reached down to unlock the door, stepping in with anticipation.
It wasn't large. As a matter of fact, it was exactly three rooms... and that was stretching it. On the left side as you stepped in was a small area to cook in and a fridge. It wasn't a kitchen as much as it was a hallway, as ten feet across on the right side was a door that lead into a yellow-wall stained bathroom.
Closing the door, you step into what else remained of the apartment, which was pretty much just the bedroom. A queen sized bed, a television on a stand, and a little corner chair. Honestly she was impressed, she hadn't expected the place to be furnished. That was going to save her a lot of running around and worrying about money.
It was meager... but honestly? You already felt more at home than she had back in Larsville in a long, long time.
Settling in.
