Gossip & Rivalry

As the next week went on Andrew learnt how dull his job truly was. It wasn't bad at all but he had to sit at a desk all day and help people with their IT problems in a chat box. Most of the time the person needing help was brain numbingly stupid as well which didn't help. With no headphones to put on music he resorted to looking and listening around him for entertainment, unluckily for him he wouldn't like what he heard.

Two desks over was the water cooler where people would hang in small groups to get some water and since the breakroom was down a few falls most people hung around it for lunch as well. He was replying to a woman who had put "My PC" into the trash bin and sounded like she was having a panic attack when he heard two woman stood at the cooler.
"So... what do you think of the new black guy" one asked with a giggle. The other woman blushed.

"Shh! What if he hears?" she whispered back.
"Relax, he won't." the other said innocently with a laugh. "And if he does I'm sure he would be flattered... now go on?" The other woman seemed hesitant before staying what she had to say next.
"Well... he's quite a handsome young guy... good body..." she added with a giggle. "I bet he knows a his way around a woman... I mean just look at him!" Andrew felt himself blush as the two woman gushed over him. He tried to tune them out and got back to his work. However things would not work out that way. The next thing he heard was a shout.
"Hands off Jason!" He looked up and saw the woman from before looking down at a nerdy white guy who seemed to be getting a bit too comfortable with their bodies! His hand wrapped around one of their hips. Without even thinking he got up to his feet and walked over.
"Oi, back off pal" he glared at the guy. The guy didn't move.
"Or what newbie?" he smirked.
"Or I'll knock you off your feet you piece of shit, let her go." he said firmly taking a step forward. This seemed to spook Jason who gave a dirty look and walked off.

Needless to say word soon spread about the new "hero" in the office but it wouldn't be the last he heard of Jason...
