Goodbye's Handler Report (Ending #8)

Objective Status: As handler for the Goodbye Girls, Ciao was tasked with putting an end to a hostage situation in Washington. The field agent, Tschau, had gone rogue, holing up inside the weapons testing laboratory with a group of captives. Her accomplice, Promethia, took hostages elsewhere inside the tech wing at the same time, and later escaped with those hostages and valuable cybernetics research. Ciao was advised to handle Tschau as his top priority and to find Despedida, trapped somewhere inside the wing, as a secondary objective.

The details after this get fuzzy. From what we can tell, he did indeed encounter Tschau and ultimately put her cybernetic brain into hibernation using a concealed EMP device I'd given him. The tech department will do what it can to get her up and running again, but considering she'd gone rogue, even if we manage to salvage some part of her, I imagine that she'll be held and imprisoned. I doubt there's anyone left in the world who fully understands her cybernetic enhancements, so the more likely outcome is that she will be taken out of commission and handed over to our science team for further analysis.

After taking out Tschau, Ciao returned to my office and incapacitated Despedida and me using sleeping powder. When I awoke, I found myself held in a dark room. Despedida and I were interrogated separately. His questions were primarily related to the mystery informant I've detailed a few times in the past, Namaste, who Ciao claimed was behind Tschau's decision to go rogue. Evidently, he was satisfied with my answers and not Despedida's; after incapacitating me again, he released me near the CEDIT base to return to work. As for Despedida, she remains missing. I can only assume the worst.

Namaste has not reappeared since then, nor has Ciao. Vaarvel and Au Revoir remain missing following the events of Dark Humor. I assume it's all connected, but I couldn't say how. Needless to say, the Goodbye Girls are finished; I am now the only remaining agent. God help us...
