Goodbye's Handler Report (Ending #10)

Objective Status: As handler for the Goodbye Girls, Ciao was tasked with putting an end to a hostage situation in Washington. The field agent, Tschau, had gone rogue, holing up inside the weapons testing laboratory with a group of captives. Her accomplice, Promethia, took hostages elsewhere inside the tech wing at the same time, and later escaped with those hostages and valuable cybernetics research. Ciao was advised to handle Tschau as his top priority and to find Despedida, trapped somewhere inside the wing, as a secondary objective.

All I can say is that the mission went as poorly as I figured it would, with Ciao facing hostility both from the hacked security system and from the Deliverer agent, Promethia. From what camera footage we managed to recover and the remains we found afterward, we can tell that Ciao was brutalized by the well-equipped terrorist, who sported some sort of advanced cybernetics. We've never seen tech like that-- it popping up in the hands of the Deliverers is no doubt due to the belated aid of Dr. Ivan Bortnik.

Tschau seems to have been under the influence of whoever was behind taking the security systems, but thankfully, they left her in one piece. Our scientists are keeping her in containment until we manage to discover what vulnerability allowed her cybernetics to be hacked. Despedida also survived the attack, having been detained in the tech wing for the entirety of the incident. Perhaps the Deliverers planned to use her as a bargaining chip, but later abandoned that plan?

The attack cost us the finest handler of the Goodbye Girls that we've recruited up to this point. The position seems cursed; I will not be assigning anyone else to it and, frankly, must recommend the disbandment of the Goodbye Girls, under the grounds that anyone assigned to directly oversee them seems to become the target of a gruesome death.

Looking Forward / Next Steps:

Immediate disbandment of the Goodbye Girls is recommended, after which each will be integrated into CEDIT's main forces. Ultimately, this decision will be left up to the international council.
