Good to Seek Love/Remember You Always have Each Other

I noticed something strange immediately after I came out of hypnosis.

I was making out with Faith. I was enjoying it. Faith was really enjoying it. Like, I must be a really good kisser, because she was totally into me. Even though we were awake now, we kept kissing for another few minutes.

So obviously nothing strange about any of that, just setting the scene.

Then Xander says, "Wow, you two look so hot with the lezzie makeout."

Okay, nothing unusual there. Just a general observation from Xander being friendly.

But then Faith has an orgasm. A very, very intense orgasm. I'm going to be bruised for days with how hard her hands gripped me.

I tried to remember the session after we finally broke apart. Faith went to cool down while Xander did some consultation with Willow.

Xander had talked about how we had each other. Really, it was barely even hypnosis. If he had just sat us down and explained things to us it would have had the same impact. You're both Slayers. You need to have each others back. The closer you are the better. Closeness between women is conveyed by lesbian actions. You'll be safer together then apart.

Really, why even the hypnosis?

I then looked down at the notes that had been left behind from Cordelia and Faith's session. Buffy lying about Angel was wrong, but its good to seek out love...

There's this thing called tactical psych. No, wait. Tactile psychics*. Its supposed to be a Slayer skill, like sensing vampires, but its never really been my thing. But as I picked up that slip of paper words hit my mind.

It's good to seek out love. But true love can be hard to find. That doesn't mean you should deny yourself. Appreciate your friends. Enjoy their words, their looks. Enjoy. Enjoy. They love you. Revel in that. Revel in your friends.

I put the slip down. That was weird. Enjoy their words? I get what Xander was going for. Appreciating what we have and all that. But it seems that Faith got way too strong a dose of what he was going for.

I'd have to talk to them about it.

*Buffy does use a version of this in Season 5, then never mentions it again. It will come up again in this story.
