Goes it alone.

"Sorry, Moseph, but I'm hardly equipped for a fight with a necromancer right now. I'll take my chances on getting to a nearby town. Thanks for the assist, though. I owe you one."

Moseph merely inclined his head in acknowledgement. "Good luck, Beast Tracker." With that, he turned and disappeared into the darkness.

Venus opened her pack, and inventoried exactly what she had left. The list was quite meager, and not at all reassuring. Her pack contained three days worth of food and water, her firestarting kit, and a length of rope. Aside from that, all she had were her sword and the clothes on her back, plus whatever she might be able to find on the bridge.

With that in mind, she climbed back up the bank of the river, and hastily searched the bridge as best she could in the nearly pitch-black darkness. She knew her time was limited, as the necromancer was probably even now sending more forces to catch her again. As that thought ran through her mind, her bare foot landed on something soft, yet hard. She reached down, and grasped her coinpurse, smiling slightly. At least she'd be able to buy some more gear when she got back to town. The search yielded nothing else.

Tucking her coinpurse into her pack, Venus considered the best path back. She had a few options, none of them really appealing. The shortest path was through the woods, away from where Moseph had disappeared. The going would be made more difficult by her lack of boots, and visibility would be limited, but Venus figured she could make it to the town by sun-up, mid-morning at absolute latest. The road would be easier on her feet, but was also a longer distance to travel. It would also make her much more exposed, not just to the necromancer, but to bandits or worse.

She could always just wait here for morning, too. The bridge was somewhat defensible, and she could always take a better look for any more of her remaining gear then.
