God has another offer...

"Actually, son, before you make your decision I have another offer." God interrupted before I could finish my request. What else could he possibly be offering?

"As in you're offering something in place of the power I wanted?" If so, then I'm not sure if I'd be all that interested. Why would I give up m dream power for something else?

"Oh no, don't worry about that." He chuckled. "I'm well aware that you have your heart set on getting some overpowered ability and I have no intention of dangling that carrot in front of your face and then snatching it away. No, what I am offering is in addition to your power."

"Okay...go on..." I replied skeptically.

"I would also like to offer to send you a world different than your own." He stated matter-of-factly.

"Um...excuse me?" I couldn't think of anything else to say. I know this guy is supposed to be God or whatever, but is he really trying to tell me that there are other worlds?

"Now, now, don't get the wrong idea. I know your mind is probably reeling with the thoughts of parallel universes and bla bla bla. I'm not offering to send you to one of those because it could cause major issues if you were to unintentionally run into a parallel version of yourself."

"But, you are saying they exist?" I asked.

"Moving on. Where I'm offering to send you to is a fictional world. I know that sounds odd, but there are plenty of unique worlds that have been created by the human imagination and to entertain myself over the years I may have brought one or two into reality." He said this while looking off to the side, as if admitting this little fact was embarrassing.

"So you just casually gave form to worlds that people on earth have thought up? What like the world of the Stephen King books?

"Oh heck no. Those books are downright horrifying, I would never give form to something like that. But to give you an example, back when only the first book had been released I gave form to the world of Game of Thrones because I got tired of waiting for George R.R. Martin to finish the second book. And what better way to find out where a series is going than to bring it to life and let the characters figure it out for themselves? Usually when I do this the world I created continues the same way that the creator intended it to, with some occasional differences here and there, usually nothing big though." God said proudly.

"So...you create worlds because you feel like binge watching something?" I said condescendingly. This seemed to offend God who looked back at me and I felt menace in his eyes.

"Look kid, I've been nice to you so far but don't dis my hobbies. I've been dealing with your lot on Earth for the past 14 billion years and forgive me if I need some stress relief. Keep being cynical and I might rescind my offers." He replied.

"Sorry, sir. Truly, I didn't mean to offend you." I wanted to get back on his good side quickly.

"Anyways, the reason I'm making this offer is because it is much easier for me to alter worlds that are fresher than Earth. Most of the worlds I'm referring to have been created in the last 100 years or so, and sending you to one of these worlds with some kind of uncanny ability will be much simpler. With how old Earth and the universe that you are from is, most of the laws of nature are rooted pretty firmly in reality and while they can still be changed to fit the power that you want, it takes quite a bit of effort on my part. So while this is an offer to you, it's also a way to make my job a little easier. Of course, if you want I can still send you back to Earth and of course you can still pick a power either way."

"Okay I think I understand. So I can pick any power I want, and any fictional universe that I want?" I asked, just to confirm that I understand.

"That's correct, now hurry up and make your decision. I've kept you here for far longer than I should." He said impatiently.

"Um, okay, I think I'll go to..."
