Go to the police station

Katja checked the time on her mobile and realized that she was going to be late for work! After one more quick glance around the alley, she decided that the trail had run cold and that there was no more investigating to be done here. The blonde flipped open her notebook and recorded: "Melissa O'Neal, bicycle recovered, Madison alley, possible missing person? Suspect: black male, slim build, age 18-25" She thought about what other descriptor she could add about the man she saw cycling in front of her Jetta and added: "Cute butt".

Almost an hour later, Katja wheeled the prodigal bicycle into the garage. The vehicle custodian, a stocky man with a beard, approached the professionally-dressed blonde and eyed her suspiciously. "Not in uniform today?"

The blonde glanced down and offered an apologetic smile. "Uh, not today," she explained. "I'm out of uniform alot."

"That's what I hear," he mumbled to himself, handing her a clipboard. "You should really return our calls, cadet."

"Huh?" Katja asked, confused, as she glanced at the clipboard.

"We called your place like six times over the past 24 hours," he told her. "I know you patrol types like to think of the bikes as your property, but we needed this bike for other calls. Taking the bike home is misconduct, Missy, and can be noted on your probationary file."

"Oh..." it dawned on Katja that the custodian had her mistaken for her sister cadet.

The custodian seemed to take her bafflement the wrong way. "Don't care, huh? Well, from what I heard, you can't afford any more notations," his eyes narrowed. "Don't usually see a cadet with so many enemies. Why are the hot ones so crazy?"

Katja tried to decide how to respond. It seemed that this custodian knew alot about Melissa, and with a little play-acting or flirting she might be able to learn some valuable information. Or she could set his self-righteous ass straight and inform him of who she really is and try to bully the information out of him. Otherwise, she thought about taking the clue she already received and try to access Melissa's personnel file, which may hold valuable clues.
