Go to the left; check out this new street.

You decide, almost at random, to turn left and head down the street there. It's every bit as abandoned as the first was, but you notice that it is noticably more narrow, probably by half as much in fact.

As you make your way down the street, you notice footprints seeming to appear out of nowhere, beginning in the center of the street and heading to a building to your right. At this point, you're about halfway from the town square to the end of town.

You notice that these prints are a woman's. Small feet, with heels. Here and there, you can see where an ankle-length dress had been dragged along the sandy ground.

You glance around, suddenly feeling as though you're being watched, but see no one. You do notice something a little unusual, though. While the footprints lead to your right, the building to your left, sporting a crooked sign stating "Roy's Barber Shop," is well ajar.
