Chapter 2

What does Kate do first?
Go to the beach
Katja knew that Missy O' Neal had been assigned to work bicycle patrol at the beach on Saturday, and that on Monday morning her bicycle was recovered in an alley in the nearby ghetto. Katja's schedule had her working yesterday, today and tomorrow, so working on the opposing schedule meant that Saturday was Missy's last day on duty.
'For the bike to be here today,' Katja surmised, 'something must have happened on shift, on Saturday.' She decided to continue her investigation down at the beach, where Missy had been scheduled to work.

'Maybe someone remembers Missy,' Katja hoped, 'and maybe give me some clue about what happened to her.' Katja noticed a beach bunny drinking from a water bottle and glancing over at her, and a dishevled looking man sitting on a bench.
Katja noticed a police bicycle patrol roll by, but decided not to identify herself or her investigation. 'They wouldn't have been on shift on Saturday,' the blonde reasoned, 'and would try to take this case away from me.' At this point, Katja decided to conduct her sleuthing 'under the radar'. She wiped her brow as she considered her options...
