Go see the band.

"I heard the Jebediah is finally releasing some new stuff," Robyn said. "Maybe they'll play it at the show."

Emma's eyebrows went up, "I was kinda looking forward to the cocktail party..."

Robyn stopped in front of the car, "please, I know you like the band just as much as I do."

Emma shrugged, "yeah, that's true...it's just..."

"Just what?"

"I've got a little black dress that just been dying for me to find an excuse to wear it," Emma said with a grin.

Robyn just rolled her eyes and got into the car.

As they drove Emma said, "I think that Aaron likes you."

Robyn shook her head, "oh please, I've been around enough to know when a guy is being nice to a hot girl's friend to try to score points."

Emma laughed, "don't be so sure. I happen to know a little bit about men, and I know when one of them is checking me out or not. Steve couldn't take his eyes off of me, but Aaron...sorry to burst your bubble of low self-esteemRobyn, but he couldn't hide his roaming eyes behind those sunglasses. He couldn't stop looking at you."

Robyn's mind went back over Aaron's lean, hard body. Emma laughed again, "Ohhh, I think someone is in love."

Robyn just smiled and drove back to their place so that they could change.

Time came and went and soon the two young ladies were driving out to the address that Steve had given them.

They came up to a modest flat on the edge of town and walked up to ring the bell.

Matt answered the door, "Oh, you two are right on time, Aaron and Steve just got here." He yelled over his shoulder, "Aaron! Steve! The sheilas you ordered are here!"

Emma rolled her eyes and quickly put her hand over Robyn's mouth to keep her from saying anything she might regret. They saw Aaron come into the room, he whacked Matt on the back of the head and said, "don't be stupid." He motioned at Emma and Robyn to come inside. "Sorry about that, come on in, we just have to wait for Steve to finish getting dressed."

The two girls walked in and they saw Jeff sitting on a couch watching a football game. He waved at them, "hey, glad you could make it."

They waved back and Aaron, talking to them both but always looking at Robyn, said, "Well, I won the bet it would seem."

"What bet?" asked Emma.

"I told Steve that you would want to go to the show rather than the party, he said otherwise. We made a bet and the loser would have to pay for the four of us for the evening."

The heard a door close and saw Steve walk in wearing a very smart looking suit. He saw the girls in their relaxed casual clothes and groaned, "Aw, damn it..." He quickly raised his hands and frantically tried to explain, "not that I'm not glad you two came, it's just..."

Aaron smiled and said, "I already explained the situation to them."

Emma pipped up, "It's not too late, we can go back and change if you want."

Robyn gave her an exasperated look and whispered, "What, drive all the way across town again?"

"It's for a good cause..." Emma whispered back. "Me and him."
