Go say Hello to Joan

"Yeah, that's pretty cool Joan came up here for the weekend too." Even though John managed to say this straight-faced for the most part he knew deep down why she was there. From the time they barely knew each other both Joan and John had a thing going on between them and while her family had some idea, they couldn't have even begun to grasp how far their relationship had actually gone.

"She really wanted to see you when you got here, it would really make her day. You just have to go and let her know you're here." Jane glanced over her shoulder as she spoke, as if almost seeing how he would respond.

He didn't really need a second more and he was out of the room looking for her. Then as he reached the master bedroom he heard a shower running. With barely a double take he looked over at Jane and saw she was busy with what she was doing. And seeing she was occupied he turned the handle to the room and stepped in. He could see the steam from under the bathroom door and hear a sweet soft humming coming from the shower. With a trembling hand John reached up and turned the knob.
