Go outside for a bit

"Could you give me a minute before I work?"

"Ja."

Hannah walked out of the library. After looking around, she came across the Ninth Circle.

Walking inside, Cole greeted her. To her surprise, Hannah noticed a few more people present.

The first was a woman with bobbed black hair and in a dark purple pantsuit, sipping on a margarita. Another was a very attractive woman with bleached blonde hair and donning a very skimpy black dress, with her massive cleavage sticking out.

There was also a third woman, sporting short hair in a shade of hot pink and wearing a prison uniform. Finally, there was a man dressed in rather sophisticated clothing, drinking some scotch while flirting with the blonde.

"Excuse me, but..." Hannah spoke until the first of the quartet cut her off.

"Oh, so you're the girl who hooked up with Gertrude von Strauss, huh?" she asked.

This prompted the young woman to flinch almost instantly before taking a deep breath. "Yes, I am," she replied with a docile nod.

"I'm Lamia, the Goddess of Agendas. You probably might have seen me at a campaign rally for George Bush years ago... and slandered them after said rally was over." Lamia told her.

"Making you a hypocrite."

She sneered before the second woman added, "Call me Akasha. Goddess of Idiots. Like, I was on top of the world before I got here, like, some time ago."

It was apparent that Akasha spoke like that of a stereotypical valley girl. Hannah nodded again, before the woman in the prison uniform followed up with, "I'm Carmilla, the Goddess of ****. As you can see, I'm quite comfortable with my status as a goddess." She then let out a fairly toothy grin, to which the young woman did not like how uneven they looked.

Finally, the sole man concluded with, "And I am Vlad, God of False Truth. Robbing people of their money by peddling silly shit was my thing."

Vlad grinned as he looked over at her and said, "Come on over and have a seat with us."

Hannah shrugged before picking up a seat of her own next to the quartet. "I'm not actually here to get a drink, so..." she told them.

"That's fine, I suppose. Hey, Akasha told me about her attempts at picking up on Cole. Heard they didn't work out in her favor." Lamia said.

"Like, totally!"

The woman nodded before Carmilla cut in by telling her, "Say, I have something you might enjoy looking at. They're some guidelines, I believe."

"Um... okay." Hannah replied.

She grinned before pulling out a small amount of papers and then finally handing them to her. "Enjoy!"

Taking them from her, Hannah looked down at them, and they would read:

Well, well, well, you've gotten yourself into the fight of your life, huh?

Believe it or not, in Arcade Mode, you're up against three other people, but here in Story Mode (at least until you get one soul into the tournament thanks to Hannah and your (the player, AKA you)'s efforts and playing as that soul), you're basically one on one.

Starting things off, it's time to talk about the various stages you'll find yourself in: alleys, restrooms, empty buildings, the works. All in the middle of Hell!

Next, each of the stages has containers and boxes located around them, and if you ever hit one of them, one of three power-ups will come out:

Red Potion: One such meter in each battle is the health meter, colored red. Whenever you're being attacked or hit, this meter depletes. If you're really running low on health, grab one of these, and you'll avoid the possibility of being instantly Thrill Killed.

Green Potion: The second meter is the Kill meter, colored green. The more damage you inflict on your enemies, the more this meter increases. Take this potion to fill it up a bit. Once it's full, you'll enter Kill Mode, and you'll be able to annihilate the enemy you're after. Be quick, though, for once the meter's empty, you'll have to start all over again.

Amulet: This resembles Marukka's old trinket. Picking this up will grant you temporary invisibility, which means you won't get attacked. Until it's run its course.

Now that it's all said and done, good luck with attempting to kill the others!

After reading them, Hannah handed the papers back to Carmilla. "Thanks for the interesting read. Maybe we could learn up on them soon," she told her.

She grinned before the young woman left the bar, making her way back to Lucifer's Library.
