Chapter 12 by whizzper whizzper

What do you do now?

Go back.

You stand outside Scott and Dirk's door for a couple moments, trying to decide how to approach the situation. Taking a deep breath you almost jump when the door opens behind you. You turn to see Dirk with two shot glasses.

He smiles for a second then offers you one, "Little liquid courage never hurt anyone, man."

You nod, and take the proffered shot, clink glasses and down the fiery liquid. With another breath you give the glass back.

"Good luck, man. Seriously." Dirk says, slamming the door again.

With the Liquid Courage burning in your throat you make your way to your room again. As you walk you ponder Melody's reaction to the news that you were leaving. She was angry beyond what you had ever seen before, but in retrospect you had heard a lot of hurt and disappointment in her voice as well.

Taking your keys in hand you open your door, and see Melody crying on the couch, clutching something in her hands, staring at it. It looks like a picture, but you aren't sure. She looks up as you enter the dorm room, her face twisting from anguish to anger in a second. "What the FUCK are you doing here, Jack? I told you to get the fuck out, and not come back I told you I didn't want to see you anymore..."

You stare at her as she makes this statement. You almost loose your nerve, but then you figure what's the point in that? This was something the both of you had to come to terms with. Now for the sake of the baby. "Let me speak."

"What? No, I will not let you speak. You decided to leave. You decided you couldn't be a fucking man..." She says as she gets up off the couch angrily and moves towards you, her arms flailing about. You see the picture clearly now and it was a picture your mother had taken of the two of you over last summer's break. One that was taken at your father's BBQ. She had sneaked up unawares to the both of you as you were engaged in an intimate conversation. You don't remember the conversation, and neither did she. You were wrapped up in her eyes and voice, and you assume she was in yours. Your mother had commented later that night at how good the two of you had looked together, so happy. Then she winked and left it alone. You now know exactly how to say what you have to say. "I don't have to let you do a god damned thing you fucking cow-MPH!" She only stops when you catch her arms and hold her tight, kissing her with seven years of want.

At first she struggles, wiggling and writhing about in your arms. You can feel her trying to resist your kiss, moving her lips to avoid yours.

This goes on for a full five second until you start to feel her nipples harden against your chest. Her screaming turns into moaning into your mouth as she stops struggling and instead wraps her arms around you and pulls you closer. You are surprised at her exuberance as she gives way to your kiss.

The kiss continues as your tongues wrestle in each other's mouths, your hands roam each other's bodies unabashedly feeling each other up.

Finally the need to breath breaks the kiss. Melody stares at you, her mouth agape. "Is...is that what you wanted to say?"

You smile tentatively, "Yes. For the last seven years that's what I've wanted to say. Never had the guts to do it. But then I was never in danger of losing you before. I figured I had nothing to lose."

Melody's mouth is twitching. As though she wants to be angry, but her feelings are int he opposite direction. While she is mentally trying to scowl, her elation is forcing a smile. And the war is won by her emotions as she pulls you into another kissathon.

You heart is beating like a jack hammer as you keep kissing her with all the passion you have for the most beautiful human being you had ever met.

Is all forgiven?
