Go back the way you came.

You decide that away from the noise is the best way to go. You quickly follow your small path of bent grass, broke limbs and general small destruction. This time you only almost trip once or twice; you avoid everything like a pro and reach the beach again, no sign of the mermaid.

You walk forward and sit on the shore. You wrap your arms around your knees, and lay your head on your knees. Where were you? Who were you? What happened and how would you go back to what you came from? All these questions raced through your mind as you felt something wrap around you, and a comforting nuzzle against you.

You look up to see the mermaid lock you in a friendly hug. She looks up and gives you a friendly smile and a kiss on your cheek. She says something in some unspeakable language, but by the tone she seems to be trying to help and support you.
