Chapter 11 by AlexandraS90 AlexandraS90

Duty calls or play with the kitten?

Go after Catwoman.

“I guess I should be on my way.” You tell Holly. “Plus, I'm actually allergic to cats, so the sooner I get outta here, the better.” You sniff.

Turning your back on the immobilised young woman, you let yourself out.

“Don't wait up!” You say. “Selina may be gone a while.”

-

Before too long, you're back on the street. It's much easier to find the West Museum than it was to track down Catwoman's pad. After all, there are ads for the new exhibition all over Gotham. For a thief like Selina, seeing that diamond plastered on every bus stop must've been like catnip.

Arriving at the museum, you quickly scan the surrounding area for any kleptomaniacs wrapped in tight black suits. You must have criminal beginner's luck, because after just a few seconds, you're sure you see Gotham's feline filcher observing the museum from a nearby fire escape. She must not have pounced yet.

“Wait!” You hiss up at Selina as you approach, trying to get to her as quickly as possible without drawing undue attention.

As always, having heard your words, the burglar is compelled to obey. She stays crouched, a few floors up, until you close the distance between the two of you.

“Heh, nice to meet you, Catwoman. Name's The Protector.” You smile.

“Charmed. You've got five seconds to tell me how you found me and what you want before I give you a makeover.” Selina says, extending some wicked-looking metal claws from her gloves. “I hear bloody scratchmarks are totally in this season.”

“Whoa, put the claws away, kitty.” You tell her. To her immense surprise, Selina does exactly as you say. “To be honest, I don't feel like explaining myself, but Holly says hi.”

“If you've done anything to her...” Selina begins. You can't help but smirk. Literally declawed, she's not exactly intimidating you.

“Oh, believe me, little Holly'll be a hell of a lot better off than you're gonna be soon.” You say frankly. “Now, you're gonna come somewhere with me, but first? You're gonna pull your little heist off, then come back to me.” You explain.

Selina responds instantly, leaping off the fire escape and scurrying to the museum. Sitting with your legs poking through the railings, you idly fantasise about what you'll do with the Cat when she gets back.

Not that you're left long for your imagination to run wild. It hasn't even been five minutes before Selina's creeping out of the museum, her task accomplished and the guards none the wiser.

Rejoining you on the fire escape, Selina reaches into her considerable cleavage and withdraws a black drawstring pouch. From it, she pulls the magnificent Kane diamond.

“Okay, I'm impressed.” You admit. “With your skills and the diamond, but also your tits.”

If Candy and Tracey had already made you feel a bit insecure, that was nothing compared to Selina's bust. Still, with the money you were making tonight, you could afford bigger tits than Power Girl, should the need strike you.

“Now hand it over.” You smirk.

You can see the anger and regret in Selina's emerald eyes as she returns the diamond to it's pouch and hands it over. It was her score, her hard work, and here you are, some random metahuman who'd come along and made her give it away. You decide to twist the knife.

“Why don't you thank me? For letting you have a little fun?” You ask.

“Thank you.” Selina says tersely. You wished you had a phone on you. The look of humiliation on the Cat's face deserved to be recorded.

“Don't mention it.” You say, tuckig the diamond away in your jacket. “Now, do you have a ride? I want you to take us somewhere.”

Once again, Selina's powerless to refuse you. Leading you down the fire escape, she takes you a short way away from the museum, to an alley, where a Harley-Davidson is parked, hidden by some strategically placed garbage.

“As getaway vehicles go, it's a little showy.” You muse. “But then again, so is the bullwhip.”

“You're taking us to the Iceberg Lounge.” You tell Selina, as the two of you mount the bike. The burglar pales at those words, as if she knows what's awaiting her.

-

Selina's bike roars as she drives it through the almost-deserted streets of Gotham in the small hours of the morning. You make sure to hug her tightly from behind. As your hands roam the skintight black catsuit, you couldn't be happier to be riding bitch.

-

Parking up, Selina looks up at the Lounge's neon sign.

“You're working for Penguin? Seriously?” She says, with more than a hint of disgust.

“So he's got a few unsavoury habits.” You shrug. “He's paying me very well. Besides, I'm sure you'll see... a more personal side of him pretty soon.”

“Now, hand me that whip of yours, I've got an idea.” You tell Selina.

Without hesitation, Selina hands over her black bullwhip. Telling her to place her hands behind her back, you bind the plucky thief's wrists.

Taking Catwoman by the arm, you walk her into the Iceberg Lounge's back room. Heck, it's just like your superhero days, give or take a few key differences...

Candy looks up from her reading, and whistles appreciatively.

“Damn, when you say you're gonna find someone, you find 'em!” She observes.

“Well if it ain't the Cat.” Tracey laughs. “The guv's gonna have some fun with you, 'e is!”

“Oh, bite me, you limey twat.” Selina spits at the blonde.

“Talk about a smart mouth.” Tracey sneers, heading off.

“Oh, we'll sort that out, babe.” Candy reassures her colleague.

“Hey, there's something you could maybe help me with.” You say to Candy, keeping Selina steady.

“Uh huh?” She responds.

Reaching into your jacket, you drop the in front of Candy. Her jaw practically drops when she sees the contents.

“Baby, you shouldn't have.” Candy jokes, a greedy twinkle in her bespectacled eyes.

“Think you can help me fence it?” You ask.

“Does the Bat shit in a cave?” She responds. “A rock this big, the buyers'll be linin' up. I can have the money for you by tomorrow night. Minus a finder's fee.” Candy promises.

“Typical.” You mutter.

“Honey, I assure you, I'll earn every cent.” The beautiful black woman assures you in a sultry tone. “By the way, if you ever need anything, you can reach us on this number.” Candy explains, sliding you a slip of paper with a Gotham City number on it.

“Now, maybe you should think about putting that cat into her litterbox?” She suggests.

“You're right.” You respond. “But I'll see you later.”

“I'll hold you to that!” She calls after you as you step into the elevator, Selina held close to you.

“Penguin must really want you.” You tell Selina as the doors swing open. “Your cell's even the closest one to the elevator!” You point out.

“Almost like the penthouse, huh?” You joke. “Now go, get in there.”

Wordlessly obeying your instructions, Selina opens the clear door to her cell and shuts herself inside. It's just so much more gratifying to have her do it herself.

You hear the waddling of tiny, sociopathic criminal feet, and before long, Penguin's in view, standing before Selina's new home in a state of disbelief.

“Back already? I had my doubts you'd deliver.” Penguin admits, puffing on a cigar.

“There's living, breathing proof those doubts were unfounded right in front of you, boss.” You tell Penguin.

“So there is.” Penguin admits, ogling the captured Cat. “C'mere Kimmy, I'm gonna kiss ya!” He says enthusiastically, turning to you.

“Um, why don't we skip that part?” You say. Just like that, Oswald returns his attentions to Selina.

“I can't wait. I've gotta break her in right now!” Penguin insists. From the tent in his pants, you had a feeling that'd be the case.

“How could you do this?!” Selina snarls at you. “When I get outta here, I'm gonna shred your face!”

“Watch it with the lip, missy.” You admonish her. “You watch enough cartoons, you learn something: the bird always beats the cat.”

“Now, I want you on your best behaviour. Do whatever Mr. Copplepot says. Don't even think about hurting him or trying to escape. Got that?” You say, putting every ounce of your psychic power onto Selina. Can't have her taking out your meal ticket.

“...Yes.” She grimaces.

With his safety ensured, Penguin enters Catwoman's cell.

“After everything you've stolen, every time you've betrayed a fellow criminal to the Bat, this... this is gonna be good.” Penguin begins, striding towards an unrestrained but helpless Selina while unbuttoning his suit pants.

You're torn between staying, and watching the Penguin settle his grudge with his new pet, and heading back out into the night. Either way, you have a feeling there's a hell of a lot of fun coming your way.

What do you do next?
