You decide the best way to find out what's going on outside is to be outside.

But let's be honest, you chose it because it was the gun they used on Stargate, one of your favorite sci-fi shows. You really never thought you'd need it.

If you think you'll be out a while, you might also consider packing some food and other essentials in a backpack, but it's just a short walk to Uncle Leroy's compound, if that's your destination.
