Girls Day Out

After finishing her talk with Rai, Rachael was walking through the camp with Kate by her side. She was walking around enjoying seeing normal Pokémon who are not trying to attack or eat her or worse. It's a nice change of pace.

"So Kate, how’re you holding up okay?" The Buneary asked sitting down to talk to her.

"I'm okay.. just a little shaken about yesterday." she explained, Rachael already know what she meant. "Yeah, it caught me by surprise too." she admitted.

"You think that black fox is okay?" Kate asked her.

Rachael thought about it. He helped them out when he needed him and they were close to that infected Mr Mine, but it was still disturbing to watch up close. "I was disturbed by his actions, but Rai explained that he didn't think of much more ways to help and only tried to keep us safe. So I think he's okay." she explained.

Kate nodded and reached into her bag and took out an apple in her bag and started eating it. "Hello there." A Kirila walked to them and waved. "Oh... hello." Kate waves nudging near to Rachael. "Sorry for making you nervous." The Kirlia bowed in respect.

"It's okay. She's like this with new Pokémon." Rachael pointed out. The Kirlia smiled and sat next to Rachael. "How did you get here?"

"Me and my friend headed out of Aurora when it was overrun by the infected, we traveled to Silverhills as we rescued someone who said they could take us here."

"I see..." the psychic type said. "What about your family? Where are they?"

Hearing that question, the Pachirisu started to sniffle as she hugged Rachael closely. The Buneary saddens as she wraps her arms around her. The Kirlia saddens at the scene. "I'm very sorry for you and your sister. I didn't know."

"I'm not her sister, I'm a friend to her brother." Rachael corrects her. "Her brother? He didn't make it either?" the Kirlia asked. Rachael shakes her head. "He's here as well. We're just taking a look around this place."

The Kirlia nods. "I see, well you three are safe here now." she said as she looked to see that the sun had set. "I better get going. My mom will get worried if I'm not back. Take care of yourself." she said as the psychic type heads off.

Rachael and Kate look at the girl leaving as they get up as well. "This place is nice isn't it?" Kate asked. "Yeah it is." Rachael said as they started to go to the leader's tent to see where'll be able to stay.
