Ginny

As she follows Harry's overweight cousin out the door, Ginny tries to suppress the fear welling up inside her. Harry's cousin may be grossly obese, but she can tell that there's muscle under that fat, more than enough to overpower her in a physical fight. Without her wand, she is helpless as she hasn't been since the Chamber.

"Come on, girl," Dudley chuckles. "Into the car."

Ginny gets into the car, and is reminded again of her first year. Her father had never gotten another car after Harry and Ron stole the Ford Anglia that year. Memories of that terrible year come welling up, and with them come feelings that she has long repressed. As Dudley gets into the car and drives away, that scared little girl, the one who was helpless before Tom, peeks back out. And worse, it is followed by the part of her she has never told anyone about and that only came out in dreams that she would call nightmares on awakening, the part of her that wished Tom had succeeded, that he had hollowed her out and taken possession of her, made her nothing more than a vessel for his will.

Ginny tries to hold her focus as the car bumps along the road.

Just got to get through this, she thinks. Surely he won't dare do anything too bad, and I've got to have a chance to get my wand back soon.
