Get to know each other

You turn towards her she turns towards you. Her arm on the couch back your's draped over it.

You ask her "So Jane, are you new to town?"

She says "Yes, I got transferred to the local bank branch."

You ask "Any reason for the transfer?".

She pauses for a second, then says "Bad memories in that town, just needed a new start."

You see she looks a little choked up. You say "Do you want some thing to drink?"

She says, "Yes do you have something strong."

You stand up walk to your cabinets and ask "whiskey and coke?" She nods. You pour her a glass and hand her the glass.

She says "Thanks" and you sit down again with your own glass. She says, "You are a good guy to offer your laundry to your neighbor"

You respond "I don't know, I just wanted to spend more time with you."

She smiles, and playfully hits your arm. Then says, "well maybe that was my plan too."

You smile, "if you want to vent about whatever happened in your old town i will gladly listen"

She smiles, and says,"No it was my ex, he was a jerk, I wasted too much time with him. Now I'm free of him. Just don't know if I'll ever find someone. Good men are hard to find"

You smile "Yeah, guy's are usually jerks, I'm sorry things didn't work out for your ex. But I'm glad you are here."

She smiles and caresses your arm. "You are a sweet heart. By the way do you have a maid service."

You say, "No, I just hide all my trash well" She busts out laughing. Once she stops. You say, "That wasn't that funny"

She smiles as she finishes her drink. You stand up and fix her another one. When you return.shes moved closer to your seat. Hand her her drink.

As you sit down she asks "Do you have a special someone? "

You smile and say "No, my girlfriend and I broke up 3 months ago. We wanted different things."

She says drain her drink "She definitely made a mistake, she should have given you whatever you asked for."

You laugh, and say "maybe the drinks are too strong".

She smiles and says "No, but you seem to be a good guy" she places her hand on your thigh.
