Aunt Jane was a notorious busybody. Dave didn't even want to think of what she might do with the bone's power. He decided he needed to get it at all costs.

"There's a simple solution to this Jane ," Dave said. "Bring it over here and look at it under the light."

Dave went to the heavy ceramic lamp on the bookshelf there next to the door and turned it on.

Unsuspecting, his aunt brought the little bone over to hold underneath the lamp. At the moment she opened her palm to illuminate it, though, Dave snatched up the lamp and hit her hard in the head with it. She went down like a ton of bricks.

'Bunny' screamed. Jake said "Dude!" not ever seeing this violent side of his friend before. But Dave was all in. He dove for the wishbone before it even hit the ground.

"Everybody freeze!" He yelled. Bunny froze. Jake froze. Aunt Jane just lay there bleeding.

"Oh fuck!" Dave exclaimed. "Please don't be dead! Please be alright!"

The bone throbbed in his hand. Aunt Jane stopped bleeding and her eyes fluttered open. She looked up at him accusingly.

"You hit me!" she said in hurt disbelief.

"No! It was an accident! The lamp just fell on your head!" he said.

The bone throbbed. Jane's face became less accusing and more confused.

"Weird. I wonder how that happened?" his aunt said, getting up into a sitting position.

Dave grinned. If this was a sitcom, Aunt Jane would have amnesia and wouldn't know who she was. That would be kind of awesome. The bone throbbed in agreement.

Jane's eyes went wide as she looked around in bewilderment.

"How did I get here? Who are you people?" Her hand went up to her face as her jaw dropped. "Oh God, who am I?"

Dave realized that, with the wishbone, Jane was going to believe whatever he told her.
