Get his attention

Cloud walked foward a few more steps then yelled to catch the man's attention. "Hey!"

Unfortunatly, it caused the man to jump, and fall from the ledge into the water. Cursing himself, Cloud rushed foward, equiping the Underwater Materia so he could breath underwater, he was about to jump in when he saw the man quite easily swimming in the water. "Sorry, didn't mean to scare ya."

The man floated on his back, looking up at Cloud, then going under water briefly, before comming back up. "Who are you anyway?"

"Cloud Strife, how about you? You know where we are?" Cloud would have prefered ending up where more people were, not this barren, dark place. "Sorry, can't help you. One minute I was playing Blitzball, next I'm here. I'm Tidus, star player of the Zanarkand abes!"

Cloud sighed, sitting on the ledge. He then noticed something large moving, without a second thought he redied his sword and jumped down, striking a large, fish monster with crab claws of all things. Tidus proved his fracefullness under water and was helping Cloud fight the beast, but it was clear it was a losing battle. In a last ditch effort they both swam for the nearest hole, just making it through before the aquatic fiend tried to suck them in. Unfortunatly, the **** of the fiend crashing into the wall caused the hole to close up. Leaving Cloud and Tidus stranded in a cold, dark, temple like place.
