It was started when the Varden was first created it symbolized that the Varden, Elves, Dwarves and Surda were all connected and their fates intertwined because if one fell the rest were sure to follow. Nasuada proceeded to Hrothgar's throne room. She stopped at the doors and the guards banged their Mattocks. The doors swung open and she stepped inside. She walked toward the throne as the slammed shut behind her.
