Gary and the girls plan their evening

When Gary came back to the kitchen he was surprised to hear his girlfriend and his sister speaking well of Colleen.

Bernie turned to Gary “that took guts to come here and apologise to Lil, I could never do it. It probably wasn’t her fault, you always told me Lil's ex was a no hoper.”

“Yes I did and he was the problem was that poor Lil was so starry eyed about him she couldn’t see what he was really like till it was all too late. That’s true isn’t it little sister?”

Lil nodded ruefully “You’re both right and perhaps Colleen is a decent girl after all.”

Bernie surprised Gary even more by her next comment “Why don’t we ask her to come with the three of us tonight- for that matter do you want to bring Alison along Lil?”

Gary’s mind exploded with visions of secretly screwing Colleen while his oblivious girlfriend was chatting peacefully to his sister only metres away and then after the night of clubbing having more sex with Bernie. He almost licked his lips and not wishing to sound too eager replied “It might be too early for Lil you’re not really over that are you? It’s your call Lil.”

Lil thought for a moment “I know what your mother would say Bernie that I have to get on with my life and that I should give Colleen a second chance and she’s right and I will. Yes let's invite her along.”

Gary smiled “Well that’s settled, now how did you girls get on shopping?”

They began to tell him some of what they had done what they had bought who they had met till Gary groaned “Girl talk, why did I ask?” at which his sister picked up a cushion and threw it at him.

Laughing he caught it and proceeded to hit her over the head with it till Bernie grabbed him from behind and tickled his waist causing Gary to collapse in a giggling heap. The girls pounced on him pelting him with cushions till he begged them to stop.

Bernie smiled “Never can cope with my tickles, can you Gary?”

“No honey I love them so just like I love you” Gary then reflected for a moment on what had happened that afternoon, on his thoughts about the night ahead and on how badly Bernie might be hurt if she were ever to find out- what Lil had gone through would be nothing. “Well I’d better be careful” he murmured and then more loudly “what are we going to do till we go out. Lil are you going to invite Alison along and if so you’d better phone her. Oh and I guess we had better ring Colleen too”

“Don’t know bout you but I’m going to have a rest” said Bernie

“I’ll drive you round,” said Gary and then I’ll ring Colleen when I’m back”

After they left Lil sat and thought for a long moment. Still sad about her breakup she blamed herself for not seeing what was so apparently clear to everyone else- her boyfriend was no good. It had put her off men, but despite bad relationships and worse breakups with every man she had met and despite the fun she was having with Alison she really did not think she was attracted to girls. Alison was fun but that was it- nothing serious like she had hoped for her relationship with Steve. “Is it me?” she mused “why cant I find a decent man? Well Alison is fun and that’s good so I’ll ring her up”

After she had done so and got Alison’s delighted acceptance she thought about her first meeting with Alison. Bernie had introduced her to Alison with the words, "This is Lil who needs your help; she's just broken up with her boyfriend and is more then a bit scared off boys right now"

Lil remembered how Alison had talked to her for seemingly hours while slowly walking her into a corner of the room sitting her down and then stroking her hand. How good Alison’s consoling words had been and how sweet and gently Alison had been – but that Lil thought with a giggle had been only at first for within a few days she had discovered how forceful and sexually pushy Alison was. With another giggle Lil remembered how much she had liked Alison’s **** and drive.

Just as Lil’s thoughts of Alison’s love making began to turn her on making her want to use her fingers the door opened and her brother came in the house calling her.

"Is it alright if we go to the Basement, that jazz nite club in town? Colleen specially asked for that –says she knows one of the musicians there and Bernie wants to go and I've said yes so do you and Alison mind?"

"No that will be fine," Lil said.
